Custom Fixtures and Machinery Procedures

• The quote must label all of the major components in the fixture and/or machine*

• A timeline is developed after receiving a purchase order for custom machines

• A kickoff meeting is held to discuss project requirements for custom machines

• After designing is complete and before detailing customer must approve the design.

• Detailed components must be released as a complete set to the shop.

• The BOM must remain on the incoming shelve and be checked off for components received.

• Spot inspection is done on all of the major components before assembly.

• Customer must approve the fixture/machine at DSE.
